Weddings
As a couple, you have made the decision to marry, congratulations! Knowing where to begin is sometimes the hardest part. I have a large range of wedding ceremonies, which include the introduction, exchanging of wedding vows, the giving of rings, readings and poems. These samples are a base to work and expand from to create your ceremony, whether you would like a traditional ceremony, more relaxed and/or intimate ceremony.
This is the usual process as we work towards your special day.

Civil Unions
Civil Unions became legal in New Zealand in 2005. They are available to same-sex couples or by couples of different sexes in NZ, provided they meet certain criteria, similar to those required for marriage. I am a registered Civil Union Celebrant, and am therefore able to solemnise all such unions. For further information you are welcome to contact me, or visit www.bdm.govt.nz OR bdm.nz@dia.govt.nz OR free phone 0800 22 52 52
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a meaningful experience for everyone concerned. It offers the opportunity to celebrate and welcome a new child into the world and into the family. Quite frequently this ceremony is celebrated on the child's first birthday, or infact any age. Family relationships are deepened and parents become more fully aware of their responsibilities. God Parents, or Mentors, and Grandparents can be officially recognised and the role of family and friends can be honoured. Namings can be empowering and deeply fulfilling as you bless your child and bestow their name. I would be delighted to work with you in creating a naming ceremony for your child.

Funeral Services
Funerals enable families and friends to express the sadness and grief that are part of the process of farewelling someone who has touched on their lives. They also provide an opportunity to capture special memories and recall moments of pride and delight in the life of the deceased. In so many ways, funerals are now about focusing on getting a full view of the person we are farewelling, to know them intimately, appreciate their uniqueness, and reflect their own personal values. We need to remember the deceased is as unique in death as they were in life.
